On Tuesday, 3rd July 2018, in the premises of AC Brka Brčko, a consultant meeting with dry plum producers was held. The aim of the project activities is to intensify cooperation between the public and private sector on the basis of public-private dialogue and partnerships to promote innovation when it comes to dry plum. In this way, efforts are being made to increase the competitiveness of SMEs in the plum processing sector by increasing the innovation that will bring additional value to the market.

The meeting was held with representatives of IDB Modriča and consulting company Con Vita Ltd. where the producers have presented the existing product design and thus have been given the opportunity to redesign them. After a professional analysis by the Con Vita team, concrete changes were made to improve the design of existing products. Also, design will be done for completely new two products of dried plum.

The project is co-financed by the European Union, within the framework of the Local Self-Government Program and Economic Development in B&H, the EU ProLocal implemented by GIZ. The total value of the project is 189,906.00 BAM, of which the European Union is co-financed by the project in the amount of 151.066,00 BAM. The duration of the project is 12 months. Within the project “Innovations in the value chain of dried plums” implemented by the Independent Development Bureau/IDB with its partners: Gračanica Municipality, Gračanka Agricultural Cooperative and Faculty of Technology University of Tuzla realized a meeting with dry plum producers.
